Welcome to the National Reenactment web site
for the Battle of Aiken sponsored by the Barnard E. Bee Camp, Sons of
Confederate Veterans Camp #1575.
This large-scale reenactment attracted more than 15,000 spectators
last year and we anticipate an even greater event in 2009 as we
celebrate the 144th Anniversary of the Battle in which Joe Wheeler and his
men, greatly outnumbered and outgunned, sent Kilpatrick's bummers
running for cover and even captured old "Killer's" hat.
The
reenactment will take place near the site of the original battle at the
Confederate Park just north of Aiken, South Carolina
on February 20 – 22, 2009.
SITE LOCATION
The site for this event is 1210
